We’re going hopping mad at Habis
We hope you’ve had a beer-y good week. Here at Habis we’ve been our usual busy selves. Not only serving up wondrous tapas and paella – don’t forget paella night is tomorrow and you’ll need to pre-order – but working on our new beer.
In the next few weeks we’ll be able to serve alcohol in the restaurant and it won’t just be Habis beer on offer but wines as well (including Spanish, of course), so you won’t need to keep on running to the Co-op between courses! So keep an eye out on the blog and the website and we’ll keep you posted.
The Fens is known for its many astounding beers brewed by some brilliant breweries and as we said last week, we’re about to introduce another one to this corner of the Fens over the coming weeks. We’ve teamed up with Mile Tree Brewery and will be selling handcrafted Habis beer especially brewed for us.
The family-run brewery is run by Karen and Richard who was a passionate home brewer for many years but decided to turn his passion into a business. That passion has carried the business from strength to strength and Richard has developed his knowledge of beer and brewing (no, not by sitting in lots of pubs but going to actual courses) over the years since he started his brewery.
And Richard is influenced by beer styles not only from across the UK but across the globe – including Spain, we hope! The ingredients are local (obvs) and we’re thrilled at Habis to be collaborating with this fantastic little brewery that has grown up in the Fenland countryside. We’ll raise a glass to that!
Talking of beer, don’t forget your dads on Father’s Day on Sunday, June 16. The menu is on our Facebook page and there are still a few tables available. If you can’t make it to this cosy corner of Cambridgeshire on Father’s Day then we have our paella nights on Thursdays where you can also order tapas, but Friday and Saturday nights are where tapas reigns supreme!
So, once again, adios – and cheers, until next week…
